Lee Enfield No4 Mk2 Fazakerly S/H Calibre .303” British
Product Details
A nice No 4 Mk 2 made at the Fazakerly ordnance factory out side Liverpool in December 1949.
The No 4 Mk1 had been the British infantry rifle all through World war two with just minor production modifications to its design and parts. The biggest of these came from the North American factories whose changes to pattern were given the No4 Mk1* nomenclature.
The Mark 2 development consisted of hanging the trigger on the receiver instead of the trigger guard as was done the Mk I, this rifle has the receiver fittings cast as part of the receiver forging and not braised as was done with around 30% of Mk2 actions using earlier receivers.
This rifle is in good overall condition with an excellent barrel that has shot three inch groups at 100yrds with HXP 82 ammunition. The receiver and bolt are matched with the rifle parts bearing Fazakerly stamps.
It is fitted with a Mk 1 rear peep sight and has a brass butt plate.
I have Parker Hale 5C aperture target sights available.
An excellent shooter and competition gun at a very reasonable price.
