This is a very nicely made 45 calibre muzzle loading match target rifle. I have no indication of the maker but the workmanship is very good with the fit and finish being top notch.
The lock is colour case hardened and the tang/breech plug is a rich plum brown. The 34” barrel is nicely blued with a bright bore having crisp and sharp rifling.
The stock is a nice dark ,plain, oil finished wood, nicely chequered at the wrist and fore end. The fore end cap, butt plate and trigger guard are in brass.
Sling points are fitted to the barrel and the stock.
The rifle has an elevation only rear aperture sight, colour case hardened with graduations on the staff. There is a windage adjustable tunnel fore sight with an aperture insert fitted.
