This Classic Italian Second World War infantry rifle was adopted at the end of 1897 as a carbine for special troops (the Moschetto TS). This rifle came from the Gardonia Val Trompia arsenal.
Chambered for the 6.5x52 Carcano round this rifle has a fine bore and is in very good overall condition. The woodwork has some armourer’s repairs and they are extremely well done.
It has adjustable rear sight graduated up to 1500 meters, clearing rod and comes with ammunition clips necessary for loading the rifle.
The Carcano gained notoriety in 1963 as one was supposedly used by Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate President John F. Kennedy.
An interesting variant of a classic military firearm that is uncommon in the UK at an affordable price.
