The Remington XR-100 Rangemaster Rifle is based on Remington’s legendary XP-100 single shot pistol action. The XP (Experimental Pistol) 100 was originally chambered for the super accurate .222” Remington, this round was then refined into the .221” fireball with which the XP 100 is always associated.
Using the strong, stable and robust XP-100 action in a rifle was a logical progression and the XR-100 Rangemaster was introduced in 2005 giving a highly accurate rifle platform at an accessible price.
This rifle is in excellent overall condition with a low round count of a couple of hundred. It is bedded in a black and grey resin impregnated laminated R/H thumb hole stock. It has an externally adjustable trigger (Pull from 1 ½ – 3 ½ lbs) and comes with sling swivel points and a Hawke 8 - 32 Parallax adjust scope.
The hammer forged barrel is suitable for bullets up to 55 grains in weight.
A tack driving target accuracy rifle in the very popular .223” Remington calibre.
