A classic British sporting rifle in very good condition overall, it has seen use as such rifles should being designed as a working gun. The woodwork has some surface marking around the fore end sling swivel eye and there is slight wear to the blueing at the muzzle. The rifle was made between 1973 and 1986. It comes complete with a set of Australian Lynx windage adjustable telescopic sight blocks and rings.
The .222” Remington cartridge was the original bench rest cartridge and is still a fine performer. Some what over shadowed by is sibling .223” it really gives up nothing to this round in most applications and to my mind although giving up a few hundred feet per second in velocity it still tops the 3,000 fps mark with 55grn bullets and has the greater accuracy potential.
So for sporting or target accuracy purposes this rifle in this calibre is a real value buy give performance as good as modern rifles costing over four times as much.
