Steyr M95/30 Short Rifle S/H Calibre 8 x 56R
Product Details
The M95 Rifle was developed by the famous Austrian arms designer Ferdinand Ritter Von Mannlicher. Based on his previous M1890 design, this rifle was manufactured in Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1895 to 1918 and over 3 million rifles were produced.
Originally using the 8 x 50R cartridge Austria converted to the more powerful 8 x 56R round in 1930. Most M95 rifles were converted from 1931 onwards and M95 rifles were also cut down and converted to M95/30 short rifles.
This rifle is one of these conversions as evidenced by the band mounted fore sight. The rifle utilises the famous Mannlicher en block clip, which was inserted into the box magazine from the top, being automatically ejected through the opening at the bottom of the magazine as the last round was chambered.
This rifle is in fine condition wearing all the arsenal marks appropriate to its history. The bore is very good and the rifle shoots very well.
This rifle also comes with loading clip and 100 rounds of ammunition.
