Quintessential Marlin underlever in 30/30 Winchester. Marlin have made some of the best underlever rifles ever, the fit finish and operating mechanism is first class and since their take over by Remington “original” production Marlins are now becoming much sought after.
The 30/30 chambering is both a classic 336 and American hunting round. Underlevers in this calibre being particularly useful in the wooden hunting grounds of the east where quick handling at relatively close range is necessary in a game rifle.
In the UK the 30/30 is particularly useful round in an underlever being able to be loaded down to pistol calibre velocities and energies for indoor and short range shooting but having plenty of energy for the longer ranges as well. Being 30 calibre there is also a wide selection of bullets for this rifle.
This rifle is 2003 manufacture and is in very good overall condition with a micro groove barrel. It has a buckhorn rear sight and bead foresight with protector along with sling swivel points.
