Another classic Marlin underlever! The 39A is the oldest and longest continuously produced rifle in the world. Starting as the Marlin model 1891 it was the first ever underlever rifle chambered for .22 RF. It became the 39 in 1921 evolving from the models 1892 and 1897. The current production rifle is the Golden 39A being manufactured from 1983 when the cross bolt safety was incorporated in the design.
Annie Oakley used the 39As originator an 1891 model to demonstrate her shooting skills so what better recommendation for this rifles handling and accuracy abilities.
This rifle is 1987 manufacture and is in very good overall condition with a micro groove barrel. It has a buckhorn rear sight and bead foresight with protector along with sling swivel points.
